At the May 9 regularly scheduled Creswell School Board (CSB) meeting, the board unanimously passed a motion to appoint Kandice Lemhouse to the board. Board member David Eusted was absent from the meeting.

"I'm excited to participate in this important community board, with my focus being on how we best serve the children and families of our community," Lemhouse told The Chronicle.

Lemhouse fills the last seat on CSB, which has been vacant since Whyat Ocumpaugh's resignation on April 12, 2017. Lemhouse will be sworn in to the board at the June board meeting, and her term expires May 2019.
