Creswell Christian School students gather to celebrate their final National Day of Prayer, on May 3, before their school closes at the end of this school year, upon the retirement of Principal Becky Lake. From left are CCS teacher and chapel coordinator, Courtney McGowan and students Amber Macauley, Isaiah Greenough and Timo Cruz. Created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress and signed into law by President Truman, the National Day of Prayer encourages people of all faiths to pray for the wellbeing of the nation and its families. Also observing the event in Creswell, Faithworks Fellowship sponsored a luncheon at Hillside Church, featuring guest speaker Dr. Greg Romine of Called to Rescue USA and singers David "Elvis" Lomond and Julia Lomond.
