The National Day of Prayer Luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Creswell VFW Hall, 111 S. 10 St. Guest speaker is Dr. Greg Romine of Call to Rescue USA. Entertainment includes David “Elvis” Lomond and Julia Lomond of Kingdom Entertainment. Tickets are $20, or sponsor a table for $160. Community Clean Up Day is 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at City Public Works Yard, 83624 N. Pacific Highway. Residents within city limits can drop off an unlimited amount of unwanted yard debris, lawn trimmings, old junk, leftover building materials, scrap metal and old household appliances. Photo identification required at the gate. No businesses. Unloading assistance available. Cannot accept household garbage, computer monitors, TVs, paint or household chemicals. Sponsored by SaniPac, Lane County and the City of Creswell.

MAY 19, 20 & 21

Hope Restored Project will help families with school-age children whose homes are in need of refurbishment. Creswell houses selected are 735 Kings Row, 715 Evelyn and 460 Meadow Lane. Community volunteers will be working around the clock and hundreds of volunteers are needed. The focus is on families who own their own homes, but due to life circumstances or hardships have been unable to carry out repairs or improvements that are needed for a better quality of life.  If you would like to volunteer, email HopeRestored2017@gmail.com.

2017 Wildflower & Music Festival is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mount Pisgah Arboretum, 34901 Frank Parrish Road, Eugene. Live music, over 300 wildflower species on display, nature walks and more. The festival is a fundraiser for Mount Pisgah Arboretum. Your donations, food purchases and shopping at booths support our work in habitat restoration and environmental education. Suggested donation $8. Arboretum members free.


Creswell Makers Market throughout Creswell, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Handmade crafts, arts, home goods, accessories, clothing, food, music and more. Brought to you by the Creswell Chamber of Commerce and the Creswell Makers Market Committee. A portion of this year’s proceeds will benefit the Creswell Library.
