Robert William Spink II, of Cottage Grove, passed away Aug. 20, 2017 at the age of 60.
He was born on Oct. 4, 1956 in Bellflower, Calif. He lived and attended school in Riverside, Calif.
He joined the United States Navy and was deployed to Vietnam where he participated in Operation Frequent Wind. Robert was proud of his service and loved everything red, white and blue.
He became a correctional officer in Norco, Calif. and also worked law enforcement in Walla Walla, Wash. He had a great love of cars, from Hot Wheels to classic 57 Chevys.
He is survived by his children: Julie Ann Spink, Robert Spink, Raymond Spink, Ross Spink, Jenny Gutherie and Jayme Spink; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; longtime best friend Katie Loucks; and sisters Sandee Bronk, Sharon Thompson, Carol Eberflus and Kay Irwin.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Beverly Spink.
