Creswell and Cottage Grove households are now able to dispose of used fluorescent light bulbs up to four feet in length at no cost through a Lane County Waste Management Division program.

LCWM will collect the used bulbs from Cascade Home Center collection points at 104 S. Mill St. in Creswell and 49 S. Sixth St. in Cottage Grove.  

The program accepts four-foot fluorescent lamps and smaller from households. Households with lamps longer than four feet and all businesses must go to Lane County's household hazardous waste permanent facility in Glenwood for proper disposal.

Businesses pay for disposal of their hazardous waste and must pre-register before disposal.
