CHS students inspired to ASPIRE
ASPIRE, an acronym (of sorts) for Access to Student assistance Programs In Reach of Everyone, is a statewide program managed by the Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC), which has its headquarters in Eugene.

School board re-establishes Finance Committee
During its Jan. 14 meeting, members of the Creswell School District board voted to re-establish a Finance Committee similar to the one formed in 2001 during a similar time of financial difficulty.

Grant to be used for school district Internet connectivity
During their Dec. 10 meeting, Creswell School District board members learned from technology director Joel Higdon that the district had been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Oregon Education Enterprise Steering Committee that will be used to bring a gigabit fiber to the district, greatly increasing the speed of Internet access.

Dogs attack, injure and kill CHS FFA sheep
Two dogs attacked Creswell FFA Chapter's herd of 15 sheep that were housed at the high school on Thursday morning, Sept. 11, killing one ewe outright and injuring two others so badly that they were euthanized by local large animal veterinarian Wes Violet.
