Four Bulldogs garner all-league baseball nods

Four Creswell Bulldog baseball players have been named to Mountain Valley Conference All-Conference teams for the 2017 season.

Dallas Dewey, a senior, was named to the Mountain Valley Conference First Team as a first baseman. Brady Lane, also a senior, was named to the Mountain Valley Conference Second Team as a catcher. Colton White, a junior, was named to the Second Team as a pitcher, and Dean Howard, a sophomore, was named to the Second Team as a utility player.

Trevor Melhoff, pitcher for the Glide Wildcats, was named Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year.

Joining Melhoff and Dewey on the First Team are pitchers Jake Farnsworth of La Pine, Angelo Roes of La Pine and Zach Hart of Pleasant Hill; and catchers Kyler Leischner of Glide and Wyatt DeForest of La Pine.

Also named to the First Team were infielders Ryland Parazoo of Glide, Stephen Parmenter of Harrisburg, Brandon Good of Pleasant Hill and Justin Oljace of Pleasant Hill; outfielders Rylan Black of Glide, Preston Paparo of Pleasant Hill, Collin Good of Pleasant Hill, Zach Holland of Glide and Eddie Price of La Pine; and utility player/designated hitters Dax Bennett of Harrisburg and Adam Plant of La Pine.

Named to the Second Team along with Lane, White and Howard were pitchers William Downs of Harrisburg and Bryce Moore of Pleasant Hill; first baseman Caleb Prater of Harrisburg; infielders Ben Plant of La Pine, Cooper Page of La Pine, Connor Ferber of Glide and Kyle Davis of Harrisburg; and outfielders Will Iverson of La Pine and Johnny Oljace of Pleasant Hill.

Receiving Honorable Mention were first baseman Cordell Moyers of Glide, infielder Kaden Johnson of Coquille and utility player/designated hitter Jake Hurt of Coquille.

Bo DeForest, head coach of the La Pine Hawks, was tapped as Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year.
