It was a somewhat anticlimactic week for Creswell Bulldog wrestlers. A planned home dual meet fell through, and the Dawgs backed out of traveling to Monroe on Saturday because so many team members were sick or injured.
“This week definitely took a turn,” said Creswell Head Coach Wayne Roberts. “On Friday, we only had six kids show up at practice ready to wrestle, and they weren’t feeling well either, so we made the call to cancel Saturday; we just had too many kids sick or injured.”
Creswell did make the trip to Santiam Christian on Thursday for a dual meet against the host Eagles, district rival Harrisburg and Gervais. There, the Bulldogs won all three duals against the other three teams.
