Dawgs place six on All-League football teams

Six Creswell Bulldogs have been named to Mountain Valley Conference All-League football teams for the 2017 season.

Senior Jack Callahan was named to the Second Team as both a wide receiver and a defensive back; senior Colton White was named to the Second Team as both a linebacker and a punter; and senior Dylan Miller was named to the Second Team as a wide receiver and received Honorable Mention as a defensive back.

Sophomore Dallton Dewey received Honorable Mention as a defensive back, sophomore Jaycob Kremer received Honorable Mention as a linebacker and freshman Tyler Atwood received Honorable Mention as a defensive lineman.

Named Mountain Valley Conference Offensive Back of the Year was sophomore Gabe Knox of Harrisburg; Defensive Back of the Year is senior Henry Scolari of Coquille; Offensive Lineman of the Year is senior Heath Hurt of Coquille; and Defensive Lineman of the Year is senior Ben Plant of La Pine.

Other unanimous First Team Offense selections are: senior quarterback Angelo Roes of La Pine; senior running back Henry Scolari of Coquille; senior running back Cyller Cunningham of Glide; senior wide receiver Wyatt DeForest of La Pine; junior wide receiver Stephen Parmenter of Pleasant Hill; senior offensive lineman Heath Hurt of Coquille; senior offensive lineman Wyatt Prater of Harrisburg; and junior tight end Dillon Towne of Glide.

Other unanimous First Team Defense selections are: senior linebacker Henry Scolari of Coquille; senior linebacker Wyatt DeForest of La Pine; senior defensive back Cody Deck of Coquille; senior defensive back Angelo Roes of La Pine; junior defensive back Garrett Phelps of Pleasant Hill; senior defensive back William Downs of Harrisburg; and senior kicker Amanda Whetten of Pleasant Hill.

Bo DeForest, head coach of the La Pine Hawks, was named Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year.
