Betty Lee Whitling
June 3, 1936 – Jan. 3, 2017

Betty Lee Whitling, 80, of Creswell, died on Jan. 31.
Born June 3, 1936 in Terre Haute, Ind., she was a daughter to Isaac and Maxine (Fenton) Parsons and married Ted Whitling on Aug. 21, 1955 in Fontanet, Ind.
Betty worked in daycare and also did clerical work for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Betty and Tom also did RV Camp hosting all over the country. Her greatest work, though, was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great faith and prayer warrior.
She loved her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she never saw a baby she didn’t love. She loved going to church and loved the Lord, which was her ultimate passion. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a part of a faith and church family all over the country.
She is survived by daughters Christine (Michael) Kasper of Cottage Grove, Krista (Gary) Guderian of Brainerd, Minn. and Kristen (Jeff) Sirota of Springfield, Ore.; sons Kurt Whitling of Phoenix, Ariz. and Keith Whitling of Creswell; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to Smith-Lund-Mills.
